08.09.2011
since a few weeks the new reliable and safe public transportation system in cape town, the myciti bus, is in service and enjoys a great popularity. the bus network currently covers the route from the airport to the city centre and feeder busses in the city centre that bring passengers through the city centre to gardens and to the waterfront. the suburb of table view can also be reached within 40 minutes drive and the different regions in table view are serviced by feeder busses.
the cheapest way to travel from cape town airport to the city centre is therefore now the myciti bus that will drive you to the civic centre for just r 53. you can board this bus in front of the airport terminal and at the civic centre you can change busses to the waterfront, gardens or table view.
the network of the myciti bus is planned to be extended over the next few years in order to link all areas of cape town.
