fire at dolphin camp in mozambique
12.07.2010
on 19 june 2010 at around 3am a fire ranged through the dolphin and scuba diving concessions within the ponta do ouro campsite in southern mozambique. the dolphin camp that was built of reed and wood and two other accommodations located directly on the sea burnt to the ground. it is not known how the fire started, but luckily no people were hurt.
the dolphin tours are still operating and guests are now accommodated at o'lar do ouro instead. the coming months will be very difficult for the dolphin people, because everything has to be rebuilt and research equipment has to be purchased again.
we hope we can support them with lots of bookings for dolphin swimming! have a look at the details of this exciting adventure in mozambique here.
